I get lots of questions all of the time about Google My Business and how important it is.  The simple answer for locally targeted businesses is that Google My Business (GMB) is very important for your online success. You have to start somewhere though, so this is just a video to give small business owners a quick tour (about 10 minutes) of the basics for claiming or creating your Google My Business page and then understanding where you add information, pictures, users to manage, etc. Sometimes it all seems very daunting, but once you understand it and where to go, it all becomes a little easier. What better way to see it than to watch a video.

Claiming and Working With Your Google My Business Listing

As mentioned in the video, to claim your listing or to add information, post, or anything else, you need to go to business.google.com. You will need a Google account. I would recommend using the same Google account for all of your business interactions with Google. That includes Google My Business, Google Ads“>Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console. You will want to link many of these entities together, which is easier if they are on the same account. You can always add other users by inviting them and granting access (or removing them). I show you how to do this for your GMB on the video.  Don’t forget to always ask for detailed reviews and good luck with your Google My Business page.
