I was honored to be invited to the Business Breakthroughs Breakfast in Middletown, NJ last week to talk about search engine marketing. The breakfast is hosted by Salim Omar and the folks from Straight Talk CPA’s. It was a great group and because they were very interactive and involved, I was able to veer away from my standard presentation and have a nice back and forth conversation with everyone about their biggest questions around the search engine marketing world.
I have been reading more and more studies and articles about how the average business person doesn’t really know what SEO is, how it works, or how to make search engine marketing decisions. Everyone knows they need it, but because of the confusion out there, many often don’t know who to believe or how it really works. We were able to roll up our sleeves and answer key questions people had about how things worked, definitions of acronyms and concepts they had heard, but weren’t clear on true meanings, and key things each person could do that day to actually help their site improve in search rankings.
As I mentioned, it was an honor to take part and talk to new faces, as well as some of the faces I have seen at other places in the past. If you or your group is looking for someone to come in and explain the ins and outs of search engine marketing, please reach out. I am happy to help educate people. When SEM and SEO are done the right way, they can do marvelous things for a business.
